Software-defined Networking is a new seminar for M.Sc. and diploma students of Electrical Engineering and B.Sc. and M.Sc. students of Computer Science which is offered for the first time in the summer term 2013.
At the moment we have several openings for Ph.D. student positions which are to be filled as soon as possible.

The DFG Collaborative Research Centre is established at TU Darmstadt in cooperation with RWTH Aachen and the University of Urbana-Champaign and will formally start on January 1, 2013.
Both projects (SmartenIT and eCOUSIN) address the objective "The Network of the Future" and formally start on November 1, 2013.[more]
The collaboration will address the potential of software-defined networking (SDN) for content delivery and caching in the converging fixed/mobile environment.
